Embrace the Present: Insights from Sadhguru
In this episode of The Girl Doc Survival Guide, Christine extends holiday greetings and delves into the teachings of Indian guru Sadhguru. Highlighting his Miracle of Mind meditation app, the episode discusses the practice of daily seven-minute meditations aimed at reinforcing the ideas that we are not merely our bodies or minds, but life itself. Christine reflects on the notion that life's essence is found in our breath, rather than the external 'drama' of our experiences. The episode encourages viewers to seek exuberance, live with a sense of wonder, and stay present in each moment.

Christine Ko: [00:00:00] Welcome back to The Girl Doc Survival Guide! Happy holidays to everyone! I hope that everyone's 2025 has been great and wishing you a wonderful 2026 as well. Today, I just wanted to talk a little bit about Sadhguru, which is spelled S-A-D-H-G-U-R-U. He's an Indian guru who has been on different podcasts and has multiple apps, and is part of the Isha Foundation. One of his apps is Miracle of Mind, and I recommend trying it out, a free meditation app. He recommends seven minutes a day and emphasizes that each of us is life. The fact that we're breathing, the fact that we inhale, the fact that we exhale, and everything else is just drama around us. In the Miracle of Mind app, for seven minutes, which is the minimum he recommends every day, you think as you inhale, I am [00:01:00] not the body. And as you exhale, you think, I am not even the mind. And it's sort of mind blowing to me because I think I do equate life with the things that are around me or the things that I do, or my job, or my family, or friends, or a trip that I'm on. But I think he's right. This is actually just all drama that's around me. Life is really the fact that I am breathing, in and out, every day, until I don't. Just something to think about. He recommends that really we seek exuberance in our lives and a lot of our questions will go away. We need to make conclusions, but live more like children do with a huge sense of wonder and being present in every moment. That is really something to strive for.
Happy [00:02:00] holidays!
